In a candid interview with businessvoip, she spoke about her travel stories and dreams. Read on!

Are you a travel junkie?

Yes, I am a major travel junkie.

What do you love the most about traveling?

I love to be with my family, but owing to my shooting schedules, I hardly get any time to spend with them. So, for me, the best part about travelling is that I get to spend a lot of time with my family. I love the sea and I really enjoy having adda with them at any beach.

What is your dream destination?

There are many. Mauritius tops the list, followed by destinations like Switzerland and Bali.

Have you ever traveled alone or do you wish to?

I have never traveled alone. My family is scared of letting me travel on my own. They think I am still a kid. My dream is to travel alone at least once. Or I may go on a vacation with my best friends.

What do you prefer: hills, beaches, or historical places?

Beaches, any day!

How do you like to travel: by road, air, or water?

I want to travel by water once, as I have never done it. I prefer travelling by road more than by air.

What are the three must-haves in your travel kit?

Sunglasses, headphones, and lipstick.

Which is your best vacation to date?

I would say last year’s Vizag trip is the best to date. I was a bit morose when I had to leave Araku Valley after staying there for a few days. It’s such a lovely place. I would like to go back to Araku Valley again.

What according to you is the best season to travel?

I feel it is the time after Durga Puja…end of October or beginning of November…when it’s neither hot nor cold. I love that weather.

Who is your travel buddy?

Until now, it’s my family. In future, if I get permission from my family, I would like to travel with my best friends.

One place you would never like to visit again?

I have loved all the places that I have visited. There is no such place where I felt that I would never go back.

Celebs you want to travel with?

It would be wonderful if I ever get to travel with Ranbir Kapoor. But obviously, that is not going to happen (chuckles). Besides him, I would like to travel with Vicky Kaushal or Ayushmann Khurrana.

Which is one of your fondest travel memories?

I lost my grandfather this year in February. And a year back, we had visited Vizag. It has been my best trip to date, as my grandfather was with us.

Have you ever tried any adventurous activity during a vacation?

I am very scared of adventurous activities. I would never want to indulge in any such activities.

I would not do intimate scenes if it makes my co-star uncomfortable: Karan Wahi

MUMBAI: Actor Karan Wahi says his co-actors’ comfort is the most important aspect for him while filming an intimate scene.

Karan had shot some intimate scenes for Hungama Play’s latest show Bar Code.

“While intimate scenes are often a necessary part of the script and required to further the story, I don’t think actors can enact them without being comfortable with each other. I would rather not do a scene if it makes my co-star uncomfortable,” Karan said in a statement.

“I want my co-stars to feel at ease and I’m thankful that all my directors have been co-operative so far,” he added.

Vignesh Shetty, writer-director of Bar Code, added that filming lovemaking scenes is usually hard.

“I had to create a safe zone for the actors on the sets by first limiting the crew so they feel uninhibited. More importantly, the many discussions I had before we shot this scene helped Karan and Parina both knew what I had in mind.

“On his part, Karan made Parina (Chopra) very comfortable and watched out for her and all of us are happy with how it all turned out in the show.”

Produced by Abhishek Pathak under the banner of Panorama Studios, Bar Code is a drama series about two close friends who start a nightclub together but their egos cause a rift between them and they end up becoming bitter rivals.

Synopsis Day 36: Wild card entries change the game in the Bigg Boss house

MUMBAI: Goodbyes are never easy especially when your friends leave your side. After an emotional farewell to Sourabh Patel, contestants were left disheartened and were seen reminiscing their days with him in the house. A little too early one might think Sourabh made some strong and special relationships during his stay in the house.

Adding light to the dull atmosphere, Bigg Boss surprised the contestants with twodhamakedar wild card entry. Rohit Suchanti entered the house and was welcomed with open arms. Rohit mingled with the contestants quite well and started strategising with the other contestant on how to play the game and secure their place in the house.

Next morning, the contestants woke up to the song ‘Tune Maari Entry’, unaware of another wild card entry that would shock them. Soon anxiety took over as Bigg Boss announced the nominations for this week. As part of the nomination process, Bigg Boss divided the contestants into groups of three and each group was called in the activity area where they had to mutually decide one name for nomination. Adding a twist to the game, Bigg Boss invited a celebrity whose identity was not revealed. This special guest could ask question to the contestants at any time and will be the one to decide that who should be nominated out of the three. The nomination process didn’t go well with some of the contestants and the battle of words thus ensued. While Surbhi and Saba targeted SreeSanth, the other contestants were seen bickering amongst themselves due to the nomination process.

Later in the evening, for the first time in the history of Bigg Boss, an ex- contestant and Bigg Boss Marathi winner, Megha Dhade entered the Bigg Boss house which left the housemates confused. While some contestants were thrilled to see these wild cards, the others were giving them cold vibes. Megha immediately started to converse with the contestants and tried to encourage them to make the game more entertaining and interesting.

Will the wild card entries in the house make the contestants strengthen their game? Will they challenge themselves to give their best or will they give up to their opponents?

Dancing Diva expressed her gratitude for her mother saying “My mother is my Plus to the power of infinity and thanks Dance+ for bringing us together and creating this memory which will last with me forever as it’s a first time my mother is sitting with me on any television show. People has seen my success and not my struggle and it was my mother who stood like a pillar of strength. My mother has set the benchmark so high for her to follow-from juggling everything during their childhood days with so much ease, from helping her father, doing household chores, concentrating on both the sisters education and good upbringing and that too without any help and If she could be half as good as her then she will be the happiest. Whenever I have felt low in life, my mother has encouraged me by saying that I am a born survivor (Sunanda Shetty faced complications while she was pregnant with Shilpa where doctors said she won’t survive) and if you can survive this, you can survive anything in life!

Sunanda Shetty says “Shilpa is destiny’s child and she has put in tremendous efforts in whatever she has achieved today and she has made her parents proud. She is the best child a parent could ask for. She has grown by leaps and bounds. Transgender community deserves acceptance: Ashish Sharma

MUMBAI: Television actor Ashish Sharma, who has played a transgender in a feature film titled “Khejdi”, has urged society not to be discriminatory against the community.

“Since childhood, we have been told to stay away from transgenders. Whenever we encounter trans people, we get afraid of them. Why? It’s all because of our upbringing.

“We all should realise that they are also human beings, they also deserve love, care and acceptance,” the 34-year-old actor said in a statement.

“Khejdi” is an adaptation of a short story “Sanjha” and has been penned and produced by him and his wife Archana Taide.

After getting screened at Kashish International Mumbai Queer Film Festival, the film also opened Germany’s Homochrom Film Festival on Tuesday.

Humbled by the response, Ashish said: “I worked for more than two years on this film and now the movie is doing so great. I feel blessed, and it feels great to see my work getting appreciated at international platforms.”

For Ashish, “Khejdi” is a milestone project as by doing the film, he feels he has improved not only as an actor but also as an individual.

“By portraying the role of a transgender, I realised how many hardships trans people have to face in life. Stepping into their shoes made me understand them. The film changed my perception and made me more humane and sensitive.

“Also, many films have been made on them, but what is needed now is to break the stigma attached to them and create awareness among people,” he added.

Be it his role as a gangster in “Gunahon Ka Devta” or an army officer in “Rangrasiya”, Ashish, who is known for playing diverse roles on television, also spoke about content of daily soaps.

“Today, it is a great time for Indian TV. The content of Indian TV shows has evolved over time. From fiction to non-fiction, crime to love story to mythology, you will see all types of shows on the small screen.”

Commenting on shows which promote superstitions among the audience, he said: “People are watching them and they believe in them. That’s why such shows are being made.

“It’s vice versa… If the audience do not like to watch them, then there will be no such shows. But somewhere there are a large number of people who believe in superstitions.”
