Changing names have become a trend in television and the Bollywood industry.
And not to be left behind is the beautiful actress Shilpa Anand of Dil Mill Gayye fame.
The actress has now changed her name to Ohanna Shivanand, to sound it more unique and sexy.
When asked reasons on the sudden change, she shared, “I used to find Shilpa name too common and always wished to change it. I have special affection for the alphabet ‘O’ hence I zeroed in on Ohanna. My original surname is Shivanand but I used it as Anand but now I am back to using it.”
People still recognize her as Shilpa, won’t it affect her popularity? “In today’s time changing name is not a big deal. So with a change of name things don’t really alter much.”

‘Jaane Pehchaane With Javed Akhtar’ will see the legendary Bollywood icon Javed Akhtar explore the evolution of Bollywood cinema, from vamps to villains, friends to family and their relations, and much more. Javed Akhtar, known to create magic with his play of words, will share insightful opinions, anecdotes, his experiences and unknown stories about the most powerful characters of Indian cinema on the show.
‘Stories by Rabindranath Tagore’ is an adaptation of the literary genius’ short stories. The show is directed by the acclaimed director, Anurag Basu who will bring to life Tagore’s timeless tales in his own visionary style.
‘Mid-Wicket Tales’ will see the veteran Bollywood actor, Naseeruddin Shah make a comeback to the small screen. In His versatile demeanour, he takes us through the journey of various aspects of cricket, narrating the many untold stories within its realm.
The three shows are scheduled to launch on July 6th at 10 pm exclusively on The EPIC Channel and are collectively called ‘EPIC at 10’

The very well-known television actress Additi Gupta, who is currently seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai is enjoying her stint as Sanam.
On her Qubool Hai journey, Additi shared her views saying, “It’s going great. Qubool Hai is the best team to work with. I think it has the finest cast currently. I enjoy playing my character of Sanam as it’s not monotonous and I have something exciting to play in the show in every new track.”
What kind of roles excite you when it comes to playing them on-screen? “I have played many types of roles till now, but I enjoy playing bitchy roles on-screen.”
You are very good friends with Ekta Kapoor; has this friendship helped you in the industry? “It’s true that I am good friends of Ekta, but we don’t mix our personal and professional life. Ekta knows who is suitable for the role she has on hand.”
Can we see you participating in a reality show? “I can’t give masala to people, so it doesn’t make sense that I take part in a reality show. I can’t fake it up as one has to be an entertainer to sustain in such shows.”
When do you plan to get married (she has been dating Rizwan Bachav)? “There is still some time. I want to focus on my career right now.”

The good looking Meer Ali is all set to appear in episodes of Savdhan India and CID (Fireworks Productions).
The actor is pretty excited to appear in different avatars in both the episodes.
In Savdhan India, the actor will be playing a positive character which will create awareness among viewers on fraud cases. As for CID, Meer will be seen in an interesting role in the murder mystery story.
Talking about his experience, the young man shared, “It was a very different experience to shoot for these episodics as in just some hours, one needs to project various shades. It was a fabulous experience and I really had a superb time getting into the skin of two different characters in the span of few days.”
When we mentioned about his return to fiction TV, he shared, “Very soon as I have been missing shooting. I am open to something exciting and interesting and hope something comes up my way.”

The handsome man has finally fulfilled his wish of buying a luxurious car.
Aly’s good friend Karan Patel congratulated him on Twitter, stating:
The excited Aly, shared, “I am really happy to have bought a car from my money. It’s Skoda Superb, a perfect car which I wished to own. My family members were in shock when they learned that I have bought my own car. I took Karan, Sangram (Singh) and Natasa (Stankovic) for the first drive.”

Drama is at its peak in Life OK’s Dream Girl – Ek Ladki Deewani Si (Shashi-Sumeet Productions) with Samar (Mohsin Khan) and Lakshmi (Nikita Dutta) breaking ties.
Well, now, Lakshmi will face more grief in the form of her father’s sickness.
We hear that in the coming episodes Rishi Mathur (Virendra Singh) will come to meet his daughter to congratulate her on her victory of becoming the ‘Dream Girl’. However, he will witness certain messy situations wherein he will see nothing but hate and anger coming from everyone for Lakshmi. This will break the man from within, and he will suffer a heart attack.
As per reliable sources, “Lakshmi’s father will organize a puja for her daughter’s victory, and will invite the Sareens. In the puja, Ayesha (Shraddha Arya) will insult Lakshmi, and Lakshmi will give it back to Ayesha. However, Samar who would be a witness to this will butt in and humiliate Lakshmi and her family. To add to the sorrow, Samar will burn all of Lakshmi’s memories, and Lakshmi will in return burn the dress gifted to her by Samar. On seeing all this, Rishi Mathur will get an attack, and will be rushed to the hospital.”

Interestingly Mohit Malik was to play the part, but he chose to move out opting for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
The role of Urmi will be played by Manasi Salvi who replaced Neha Marda.
