Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan definitely has a karmic connection with Lord Hanuman and the monkey clan.

Wondering why we say so? Well someone from the tribe is always present on the sets as a mark of ashirvaad (blessings).

A source informs, “There is a monkey present on the set from the time the show went on floors. He is always around the sets and behaves like one of the cast and crew members. People on the set believe that there is a special blessing of Lord Hanuman in the form of that monkey and thus take utmost care of him.”

When we questioned Raavan aka Aarya Babbar about the special guest, he quipped, “Yes, it is true. And believe it or not him who is present when I am shooting, but Lord Hanuman himself enjoys our shoot through that monkey.

Aarya further added, “It felt nice to feed him my shaadi ka Laddoo (Aarya got married on 22 February) which he rather enjoyed, as he went on eating one after the other (laughs).”

Actress Priyamvada Pandey who was recently seen in Nisha aur Uske Cousins and Badii Devrani, met with a shocking accident when she was travelling to Gujarat by bus.

We hear that the actress has suffered fractures on her hands and legs, which needed immediate surgery.

A source close to the actress told us, “She’s now admitted in Kokila Ben Hospital. The surgeries have been successfully conducted. She’s on the road to recovery.”

Considering the seriousness of the situation, we decided not to disturb the actress.

Actress Amrita Rao, best known for her roles in films like “Main Hoon Na”, “Welcome to Sajjanpur” and “Vivah”, says the working style of the television industry and the content depicted on it sometimes scares her.

Amrita, whose sister Preetika Rao starred in popular show “Beintehaa”, is all set make her TV debut with the forthcoming finite series “Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai”.

“When I ventured on TV, although I was senior, I saw the life of a TV actor from real close quarters. And it’s very tough especially when she (Preetika) was shooting every single day, like what we shot today is telecast the same day, so it’s scary,” Amrita said at the launch of her new show.

“I admire her she did it so beautifully so I learnt a lot from that. In a film, there are four-five highlight emotional scenes, like romantic scenes, but because in television, the journey is so long there is so much, so it’s emotionally draining as well,” she added.

Taking about the type of shows being aired on Indian TV, Amrita said: “There is negativity, wrong messages, sometimes even I get scared with the kind of content which gets popular, what all can happen watching that, like you see people poisoning each other’s plates.

However, she says that her show will be different from all the ‘saas-bahu’ sagas and would offer real emotions.

“I feel that currently we are going through a phase where television content has to be more progressive, it is in a game-changing phase, it wants to do a lot more. Numerous Bollywood actors are also seen on television in finite shows. I feel proud to debut on television with this show,” Amrita said.

Apart from Amrita, “Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai”, which will be aired on &TV starting March 7, will also feature actresses Deepti Naval, Zarina Wahab and Pallavi Joshi

The new year might have been a celebratory one for the world, but the family of actor Vishal Thakkar was left aghast with him gone missing.

Tellychakkar.com had been constantly reporting about the unfortunate turn of events in the Munnabhai actor’s life.

Vishal was accused of ‘rape’ by his alleged girlfriend who also lodged a police complaint against him.

However, the couple sorted out their issues and the complaint was also withdrawn. But unfortunately, the incident left a deep scar in Vishal, who went into depression over the entire fiasco.

Vishal was also left frustrated seeing his name being dragged into search engines alongside the word ‘rape’. The actor was also said to be not getting work assignments due to this controversy.

The actor apparently left home on 31 December 2015 to watch a movie with his girlfriend, and never returned home.

Sci-fi comedy show–

Our generation was blessed with few science fiction shows during our childhood days like Captain Vyom, Karishma Ka Karishma. But in recent times, we have not seen such series in the same genre. Hence, Humari Bahu Rajni_Kant is not only refreshing, but a welcome change as well.

No saas-bahu drama–

Do we actually need to mention how happy we are to witness a super bahu like Rajni, who is thousand miles away from plotting against her dear saasu maa? Even super natural ventures focus on the cold war between the family members, but Rajn-Kant doesn’t.

Opposites attract–

Opposites surely attract. And perhaps that is the reason why we loved the chemistry between the nerdy Shantanu (Karan V. Grover) and the cutesy Rajni (Riddhima Pandit). Even though it is an unusual pair with Rajni being a robot, we loved the pairing.

Cross cultural appeal–

The witty wordplay between the Bengali mom and the Punjabi daddy presents the image of a pan Indian culture at its best. This one family somehow is able to maintain the authenticity of the cross-cultural appeal.
