Sony Entertainment Television is all set to bring its first mythological drama show Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman. The daily produced by Contiloe will portray the tale of Lord Hanuman and his life.

As viewers would know, Nirbhay Wadhwa (Mahabharat and Maharana Pratap) will be seen playing Hanuman and Bigg Boss fame actor Aarya Babbar will don the role of the powerful Ravana. Deblina Chatterjee (Sajda, Balika Vadhu) will play the triple role of Sita, Rukmini and Lakshmi.

Now Tellychakkar.com has got the final list of the other pivotal characters in the show.

Firstly, coming to the character of Hanuman, child actor Ishant Bhanushali has been signed to play the role of young Hanuman. The actor had earlier played Jigar-Rashi’s son in Saathiya. Ishant has already started shooting for the show. His mother confirmed the news.

Hanuman’s parents Anjani and Kesari will be played by good looking actors Barkha Bisht and Gagan Kang respectively. Barkha was last seen in Sony Pal’s Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne. This would be the actor’s first stint in mytho. She will play an apsara blessed with Shiva’s incarnation as her son. Gagan Kang who has done films like Aalha Udal, Who’s There? and TV show Jodha Akbar, will portray the powerful ruler of the monkey clan.

And now coming to Ram, whose devotee Hanuman was, will be played by the charming actor Gagan Malik. As viewers would know Gagan also played Ram in Zee TV’s Ramayan. Interestingly, apart from repeating Ram’s character, Gagan will also be seen in the avatar of Krishna and Vishnu in this show.

We could not reach the actors for their confirmation.

We sent a test message to producer Abhimanyu Singh but did not get a revert till the time of filing the story.

Hanuman will launch in April.

Animal welfare body PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) has gone up in arms against production house Swastik Pictures, helmed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary.

Why?

Here’s the crux.

Swastik currently produces a show called Bandhan on Zee TV which has an elephant called Suman in the thick of things.

Now, PETA has taken up the cause of the three-year-old juvenile elephant and appealed to The Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) not to use the elephant for the show. They complain of ill treatment.

The body announced the same in its official website Petaindia.com.

It said and we quote: “A team of veterinary inspectors consisting of the project leader for the Centre for Studies on Elephants at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Kerala and a co-opted member and honorary animal-welfare officer of the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) have documented cruel and apparently illegal abuse endured by a 3-year-old elephant calf named Suman, who currently appears on the Zee TV series Bandhan in Gujarat, where she is kept by her mahout (handler). The experts have recommended that she be transferred immediately to a reputable sanctuary for rehabilitation. They point to apparent violations of various provisions of The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, and The Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, including an illegitimate gift deed, and recommend that the Maharashtra Forest Department cancel the ownership certificate and confiscate Suman.”

However, sources from the production house state, “Swastik is shooting with all legal permissions. We have also filed a case against AWBI. The production house is fighting the legal battle since few months now. Animals are taken good care of.”

We buzzed Producer Siddharth Tewary for a comment but he did not reply till the time of filing the article.

Comedy Classes features Siddharth Sagar, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Sudesh Lehri and Madhura Naik among others.

The popular show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (Lost Boys Productions) on Zing will present its last episode for season 3 before returning with a revamped fresh season 4 soon.

Playing the leads in this final love tale will be Prerna Wanvari (Parichay, Bandini), Randeep Rai (O’ Gujariya) and Jasmine Avasia (Splitsvilla, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan).

The story will revolve around Varsha (Prerna), who will work as a RJ. Mohit (Randeep) would fall in love with her voice and would make all efforts to meet her. Mohit will get an opportunity to meet RJ Varsha via a ‘date contest’ conducted by the radio station. He would be mighty excited for the same.

Shares a source, “But Varsha being a simple looking girl would not want to face Mohit, and would send her best friend Neha (Jasmine) to meet him.”

Though Mohit would be mesmerized by Neha’s beauty he would sniff something fishy in the entire affair.

Will Mohit find the reality about Varsha?

We spoke to Prerna who said, “It was a great experience shooting as a RJ. Since I have never played one, it was difficult to hold on to the character but I am really happy with the end result.”

Randeep on his part added, “It was super fun shooting for the episode. The team being a young one, we had a great time working.”

Creative Head of the show, Saurabh Arora said, “This is a beautiful tale and a perfect story which will mark the closure of season 3. We are gearing up for the fourth season and it will be as entertaining as the earlier three.”

The particular episode will air on 27 March.

Time to soak up some high dose of drama!!!

The conflict between Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) has kept viewers hooked to their TV screens. And now the ambience will get more emotionally charged up in Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (Balaji Telefilms) with Shagun locking horns with Ishita and dragging her to the court.

As viewers would know that the current track showed Ishita at Mihika’s (Mihika Varma) place along with Ruhi (Ruhaanika Dhawan). Now Shagun will get a whiff of the same and she will come to take Ruhi away. Although Raman (Karan Patel) and the family would try all means to stop her, she will take the child with her.

Shares a source, “With the case reaching the court, the judge would be furious at Ishita for running away with Ruhi. The family would try hard to explain the situation but he would not relent and ask Ruhi to stay with Shagun.”

This will shock the family and seeing Ruhi all teary eyed going away with Shagun, hearts will weep in pain. The otherwise feeble Ishita will suddenly gain courage and challenge Shagun that she will get Ruhi back within the next 48 hours. She will also promise Ruhi that she will do everything to get her back.

What will Ishita do now? Will she manage to fulfill her pledge?

Nikitin shared, “I am celebrating with my family and few close friends and I don’t like to talk about my personal life.”

Amit averred, “I celebrated my birthday with the cast and crew. As there is a wedding sequence going on so there were around 200 people on the set and they all sang the birthday song for me. I even treated everyone with chocolates. Last night I celebrated with my parents and later in the evening I will spend time with my close friends.”

Any wish you want to get fulfilled, he quipped, “Yeh Rishta… has really turned my career around for good. I wish that it continues to rock the charts in the coming time as well.”

We tried calling Abhishek but he remained unavailable to comment.

Shashank ‘Jagya’ Vyas may have avoided link-ups so far, but his close friends are all women. The actor, who rose to fame with Balika Vadhu, recently spent a Sunday evening with three of his best pals — Aasiya Kazi, Aakanksha Singh and Sheetal Sharma — bonding over coffee and doing some mazaak masti.

Says Aasiya, “I have been planning a get together for long, but in vain. Finally, I lost patience last Sunday and emotionally blackmailed all of them.  It worked.”

The actress, who has worked with Shashank, calls him a perfect co-star and true friend. “We chat non-stop on the sets and even argue over the scenes. He is one of the most supportive and trustworthy persons I have ever met,” she says, adding jokingly,

“He is extremely lucky, too. How many guys get to hang out with three beautiful young girls?”

So, how did the awesome foursome spend their Sunday evening?  “We gossiped, joked, laughed, clicked selfies and pulled each other’s legs. In fact, we had so much fun that we forgot to order food,” Aasiya says.

It was indeed a shocker of an incident for actor Mohit Abrol when he fell off the horse he was riding in Swastik Pictures’ historical show on &TV, Razia Sultan.

Well, Mohit who essays the role of Nasir, brother to Razia fell off the horse and that is when his left wrist came under the horse’s feet. Ouch, must say a painful moment it must have been!! Mohit went on to suffer three fractures on his wrist which needed immediate surgery.

Well, there is a good news from the sets as of now!!

The actor is back to action, playing his part to finesse. Well, the best part is that after being discharged from the hospital, Mohit had the guts to climb the horse again and finish the sequence he had left midway.

A source from the set says, “The best thing is that Mohit has resumed shoot, and is managing extremely well despite of his left wrist not being put to use.”

When contacted, Mohit confirmed the news stating, “Yes, it is great to be back shooting. I had to get back, as this is a big show for me. I am doing extremely well till now, and I have been getting great support from the production house, crew members, make-up guys and above all, my helper boy. I have been asked not to use my left wrist for a month and a half, and it is presently under a cast. I will need about three months to completely recover, which will involve a physiotherapy session too.”

Mohit, we wish you a speedy recovery!!

Actress Navina Bole who was seen in the college romance “Miley Jab Hum Tum” has been roped in for a cameo in a special episode of TV show “Uff! Yeh Nadaniyaan“.

The special episode is for Navratri, and will be aired on Friday.

“Navratri is the most celebrated Hindu festival, and being a part of this special (episode) is indeed great. Though I am playing a negative character, my fans will see highlights of chatpata (spicy) comedy in my role,” Navina said in a statement

The story of the BIG MAGIC show revolves around a Delhi-based family of three. On the show, Navina will be playing the character of Apeksha.

The newly engaged couple Karan Patel (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) and Ankita Bhargava (Ekk Nayi Pehchaan) also showed their lovey dovey side by uploading cosy pictures on social media. They also walked hand-in-hand at a recent event, much to the alacrity of the shutterbugs.
